Meet our President
Destiny Carson
Destiny Carson is the President of the Board of Directors for the National Women in Agriculture Association (NWIAA). She guides the organization’s programs that empower women, youth, and rural families, emphasizing mentorship, service, and community. Destiny believes that “the best way to serve others is to point out their strengths and teach them how to use those to better the world around them,” reflecting her commitment to building strong networks and expanding agricultural opportunities across rural America.
Dr. Tammy Gray‑Steele
Meet our Founder and Executive Director
Dr. Tammy Gray‑Steele is the Founder and Executive Director of the National Women in Agriculture Association (NWIAA). Raised on a farm in rural Oklahoma, she has dedicated her career to empowering women, youth, and underserved communities through agriculture. Since founding NWIAA in 2008, she has led programs that promote food security, support minority farmers, and develop hands-on agricultural education and leadership. Dr. Gray‑Steele emphasizes that “our youth and minority communities need a place where they can learn about agriculture in a hands-on way, so they can see themselves in the process,” reflecting her commitment to building thriving communities and sustainable careers for future generations.
