Position Overview
The Sponsorship & Donor Marketing Team Member plays a vital role in sustaining and expanding NWIAA’s programs by developing, executing, and managing donor and sponsorship outreach strategies. This role supports corporate sponsorships, foundations, individual donors, and strategic partners, ensuring alignment with NWIAA’s mission, USDA-supported programs, and legislative initiatives.
This is a remote, independent role ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable building relationships, managing outreach campaigns, and maintaining accountability and compliance across funding initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Sponsorship & Donor Development
Identify, research, and cultivate corporate, foundation, and individual donors
Develop and manage tiered sponsorship and donor packages
Coordinate donor and sponsorship outreach aligned with national and state initiatives
Build and maintain professional, long-term relationships with sponsors and donors
Marketing & Outreach
Collaborate with the Marketing & Legislation Team to align messaging
Assist in the development of sponsorship decks, donor one-pagers, proposals, and pitch materials
Support donor email campaigns, promotions, and outreach efforts
Ensure sponsor recognition and visibility deliverables are met
Events & Engagement
Support sponsorship engagement for events, town halls, and national initiatives
Coordinate sponsor participation and benefits fulfillment
Assist with post-event follow-ups, reporting, and impact summaries
Reporting & Compliance
Track donor outreach, sponsorship commitments, and deliverables
Provide documentation for USDA and internal reporting requirements
Maintain accurate, organized, and auditable records
Ensure all activities meet nonprofit compliance and accountability standards
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
Required
Experience in fundraising, sponsorships, marketing, or nonprofit development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional and confident engagement with partners and stakeholders
Highly organized with strong accountability and follow-through
Preferred
Experience with agriculture, rural development, or community-based programs
Familiarity with sponsorship pipelines, CRMs, or donor tracking systems
Experience supporting multi-state or national initiatives
USDA or federally aligned program experience is a plus
